Job description

Our client a leading player in the Renewable space is looking for a Financial Planning Analyst to join their team.

As a Financial Planning Analyst in the renewable energy sector, your primary responsibility will be supporting financial planning and analysis functions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing financial models, analysing data, and providing strategic insights to assist in decision-making processes related to renewable energy projects. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for contributing to sustainable and environmentally friendly initiatives.

The role:

  • DCF and Project Finance Modelling, in addition to looking at the P&L

  • Updating Forecasts, and continuously improving financial models and analysis processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

  • Identify financial risks associated with renewable energy projects and propose risk mitigation strategies.

  • Provide support in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and making strategic recommendations.

  • Monitor and assess the impact of market dynamics, regulatory changes, and other external factors on financial performance.

  • In addition, collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and sustainability experts, to gather information and ensure alignment between financial goals and project objectives.

  • Lastly, staying informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector.

The individual:

  • Strong Modeller

  • 1-4yrs of experience

  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the renewable energy or energy sector.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of renewable energy project finance, tax incentives, and regulatory considerations.

  • Familiarity with sustainability metrics and reporting standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
