The Role
The Finance Director will oversee the financial operations and strategic planning for a rapidly growing manufacturing facility. This leadership role will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, maximizing profitability, and supporting growth in the renewable energy market. Expertise in solar energy and fluency in both Chinese and English are highly desirable for facilitating global team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CEO on financial strategy, long-term growth, and capital planning to support business expansion.
Lead budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models. Oversee performance metrics like production cost, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
Manage cost accounting, production variances, and support lean manufacturing initiatives. Ensure accurate cost structures and analysis for materials, labor, and overhead.
Oversee financial reporting, the financial close process, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory, and government incentive programs.
Partner with sourcing teams to evaluate supplier contracts, pricing, and tariffs, and track cost savings through procurement strategies.
Manage cash flow forecasts, liquidity, and working capital optimization.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, creating scalable systems and processes for a rapidly growing manufacturer.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing and at least 1 year exposure in solar energy. Strong experience in cost accounting, FP&A, and ERP systems.
Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
MBA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
