Job description
THE OPPORTUNITY:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to start-up Renewable Energy Supplier operating across domestic, commercial and utility-scale markets. After a recent and highly-successful fundraising effort, they're looking to take on a Financial Controller to oversee their accounts processes and assist in growing the team further.
THE ROLE:
- Manage internal cost, cashflow forecasting and reporting
- Manage monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Monitoring budgets and variance reports on a quarterly basis
- Prepare capital drawdowns, distributions and management fee calculations and billing statements
- Prepare management accountant and reconciliations on a timely basis
- Prepare relevant monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Lead the quarterly audit process
- Perform additional ad hoc tasks such as accruals, tax and compliance
- Ad hoc administration work as required
- Working actively with the executive team identifying fundraising opportunities
THE INDIVIDUAL:
- Previous experience in a start-up environment is highly preferred
- Actively interest in Emerging Markets
- Must have a chartered accountant qualification (or equivalent) with at least 5 Years PQE
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or other relevant discipline
- Resourceful, adaptive and 'hands-on' mentality
- Exellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
