​The Green Recruitment Company (TGRC) is currently supporting a data analytics company, who provides critical market research and data analytics which supports the global energy transition.

They're currently looking for a Financial Accountant on a 12-month contract, to take full responsibility of all finance related activities and act as a business partner to the Sydney and APAC leadership team.

Your role:

• Close month end management accounts for the Australian entity in line with required governance

• Ensuring transactions are recorded in line with local accounting laws and regulations

• Working closely with the commercial team and business leads to understand the status of projects to ensure that revenue is recognised appropriately

• Assist with year-end audit

• Provide analysis on topics relating to finance matters for the Managing Director as required.

• Identify and implement your ideas to improve financial processes

• Support to the Group Finance team with deliverables/ projects

Your background:

• Qualified Accountant with at least 2+ years

• Experience across key Finance processes – month end close, AP, AR, reconciliations.

• Good analytical skills, including advanced MS Excel.

• Experience of reporting and analysis from financial systems.

• Ability to prioritise and effectively manage expectations across multiple internal stakeholders

• An ability to communicate complex information to individuals of both financial and non-financial background
