Job description

​Are you an immediately available qualified financial accountant looking for a 12-month FTC at a global renewable energy business?

This role will support the Senior Financial and Transaction Accountant in the on-time delivery of key reporting deadlines in the Financial Accounting and Transaction Management Team.

Role duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the senior financial accountant in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of results for selected Renewables entities in the UK.

  • Identifying key accounting and reporting issues, identifying key actions required, and ensuring the creation, maintenance and improvement of SAP Transactional Master Data is considered.

  • Take the lead in managing the offshore billing process for resources and overheads, and all other recharges, ensuring compliance with the respective agreements.

  • Undertake monthly Balance Sheet Analytical reviews for responsible statutory entities to identify trend analysis, potential errors, and key financial reporting issues.

  • Assist in month-end, hard close and year-end financial close processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial reporting under IFRS, whilst also assisting in the identification of issues impacting all key reporting processes (monthly reported results, KPIs, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets).

Skills required:

  • Qualified accountant with financial accounting experience and the ability to understand and challenge technical matters

  • Good understanding and experience of relevant IT applications in particular SAP-BPC

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills at all levels – verbal and written

  • Effective influencing, organisational and analytical skills

  • Understanding of requirements of the control environment and ability to apply these to working practices
