Job description

In the capacity of Project Finance Manager, you will hold a crucial role in the financing and financial management of our solar PV and wind projects. Your responsibilities encompass securing project funding, overseeing financial aspects across the project's lifecycle, and ensuring the financial prosperity of our renewable energy endeavors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Crafting Financial Strategies: Develop and put into action financial strategies aimed at optimizing project profitability, financing structures, and risk management.

  2. Managing Project Financing: Identify, secure, and oversee project financing sources, which may include debt, equity, tax incentives, grants, and subsidies.

  3. Building Financial Models: Create comprehensive financial models for solar PV, wind, and solar storage projects, incorporating cash flow projections, NPV, IRR, and ROI analyses.

  4. Conducting Due Diligence: Thoroughly assess potential project investments through meticulous financial due diligence, evaluating both risks and opportunities.

  5. Budgeting and Cost Management: Establish project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement measures to control costs, ensuring that projects remain within budgetary boundaries.

  6. Negotiating Contracts: Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate financial terms within contracts, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and other project-related agreements.

  7. Nurturing Investor Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with project investors, providing them with regular updates on financial performance and addressing their inquiries.

  8. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, reporting requirements, and tax incentives pertaining to renewable energy projects.

  9. Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects, such as market volatility, currency exchange, and operational risks.

  10. Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including those responsible for project development, engineering, and operations, to align financial strategies with project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).

  • Demonstrated expertise in project finance, particularly within the renewable energy sector, with a preference for experience in solar PV, wind, and solar storage.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and familiarity with financial analysis tools.

  • Proficiency in English and German
