Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Contract)
Duration: 6-12 months
Location: Baltimore, MD
Pay Rate: $35-$45 per hour
Our client, a leading renewable energy developer, is seeking an experienced and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis for 6-12 months. This position will focus on solar and energy storage projects in and around the Baltimore area.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible individual with a strong background in renewable energy systems, particularly solar and energy storage technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in advancing clean energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar and energy storage systems
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure the successful implementation and operation of solar and energy storage projects
Conduct site assessments, performance evaluations, and system optimization
Identify and diagnose system issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
Provide technical support to customers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities
Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current on industry trends and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or installation of solar and energy storage systems
Strong understanding of solar PV and energy storage technologies, including inverters, charge controllers, and batteries
Solid knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to travel to various project sites as needed
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
