​Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Contract)

Duration: 6-12 months

Location: Baltimore, MD

Pay Rate: $35-$45 per hour

Our client, a leading renewable energy developer, is seeking an experienced and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis for 6-12 months. This position will focus on solar and energy storage projects in and around the Baltimore area.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible individual with a strong background in renewable energy systems, particularly solar and energy storage technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in advancing clean energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar and energy storage systems

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure the successful implementation and operation of solar and energy storage projects

  • Conduct site assessments, performance evaluations, and system optimization

  • Identify and diagnose system issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques

  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current on industry trends and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or installation of solar and energy storage systems

  • Strong understanding of solar PV and energy storage technologies, including inverters, charge controllers, and batteries

  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexibility to travel to various project sites as needed

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
