Job description
My client are a leading, global environmental consultancy focusing on some of the most exciting renewable energy projects currently ongoing. They are looking for someone to be involved in their offshore wind projects. They are looking for candidates who have seven or more years' experience working in a consultancy / regulatory role in the environmental assessment field. A proven track record of working on Environmental Impact Assessment and Appropriate Assessment processes is essential.
The role would involve:
Working with relevant Irish and European planning and environmental legislation e.g. EIA Directive and transposing Regulations.
Strategic Environmental Assessment.
Coordinating planning applications and associated documentation.
Report writing
Working as part of a wider team with experience of managing deliverables to deadlines.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in science or engineering with an environmental component.
A postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline which includes practical experience.
Previous work experience within a professional consultancy.
Experience in compiling Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports on the likely impacts of proposed developments and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
Membership and/or chartership with a relevant professional body.
Experience utilising GIS systems e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo and or others.
