Job description

​TGRC are delighted to be partnering with a Solar Greenfield Developer, where they have identified Italy as a key promising market to expand their business.

The business is seeking a Development Manager / Country Manager - Photovoltaic & Storage plants in Italy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Representing the team to develop new solar plants and energy storage systems in Italy.

  • Establishing a prospective strategy and targets to originate new projects targeting northern and central Italy.

  • Leading the business development in Italy and establishing a team of developers and network land scoping originators in order to grow the pipeline.

  • Building and cultivating relationships with owners of land that is affected by the assigned projects in order to establish and maintain a positive link with the local communities in the interest of the projects’ success.

  • Securing suitable lands for solar plants and energy storage systems.

  • Applying to DSOs and TSOs interconnection procedures.

  • Managing the permitting process including the preparation and/or review of the documentation for EIA.

  • Managing internally and/or by coordinating with external consultants on all activities related to the assigned project, including site pre-selection and environmental constraints analysis, wind potential assessment, layout definition and optimization, land leases agreements, environmental impact assessment approval, building permit achievement

To succeed in the role:

  • Be fluent in Italian and English, French is a plus

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in solar and/or development in Italy

  • Relevant experience in Business Development and/or Development (face-to-face with the landowners, local authorities, DSOs and TSOs).

  • Hands-on experience in developing PV projects in Italy: grid applications, land identification and negotiations, environmental permitting, administrative authorizations, etc.

  • An understanding of environmental constraints and legal documentation review and negotiations.

  • Valid driving license.

  • Willingness to travel between Italy and France.
