Job description
Role & Responsibilities:
Developing and managing the Italian development strategy in line with the corporate and country business plan;
Ensuring the right governance, risk management and reporting is in place to approve the development budget and ensure delivery of project milestones;
Ensuring projects progress through the development process, intervening to resolve issues as required;
Managing and leading the Italian development team;
Managing relationships with all stakeholders;
Staying up-to-date on the regulatory framework and market changes to inform development strategy;
Coordinating with Origination, Engineering and Construction departments.
Responsible for establishing and monitoring the schedule and budget of commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic, wind and BESS development projects up to RtB phase;
Manage consultants (legal and technical advisors) and stakeholders responsible for critical development tasks to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of required work projects;
Coordinate the preparation, and submission of regulatory documents for submission to the appropriate regulatory agencies;
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Company’s standards and local regulations;
Represent the company at conferences and business development meetings as needed.
Required Experience:
10+ years’ experience in a similar role or in a senior development positions;
Multi-geographical experience across the Italian market
Participation in and leading the projects’ development processes in Italy;
Proficient with MS Office, including MS Project;
Solid understanding of greenfield solar photovoltaic, wind and BESS development process in the region of interest (Italy). including site control, securing interconnection, permitting process, etc.);
Good knowledge of associated business development costs;
Energy Markets – knowledge of the electricity market in Italy, including but not limited to interaction with grid operators (TERNA and E-Distribuzione), knowledge of the Italian regulation and development roadmaps;
Knowledge of BESS and Wind project development considered as a plus;
Ability to travel regionally, depending on projects location;
Fluent language proficiency in English, another language as a plus.
