​Overview

The Green Recruitment Company are partnering with an ambitious, leading renewable energy company in the search for a Deputy Project Manager Based in Sydney. Our Client, a global renewable energy developer with a presence in 5 continents, was a pioneer in the Australian market with a portfolio of 400 MW and a Pipeline of projects of over 1 GW.

The Role will involve:

• Managing generator registration approval processes with regulatory bodies including AEMO, Network Service Providers and State Government Departments for utility scale solar projects;

• Managing technical interfaces with EPC Contractors, Owner’s Engineer, land holders, Cultural Heritage representatives, permitting authorities (local Councils) and connection activities (NSP / AEMO);

• Overseeing technical review processes including safety in design, HAZOP, and operability reviews interfacing with Owner’s Engineer, EPC Contractor, NSP, Local Council DA requirements, Independent Certifiers, and internal company departments;

• Overseeing design punch list items and manage contract compliance issues and contribute to resolution of open issues;

• Contributing to the development and implementation of short- and longer-term strategies for developing new renewable energy projects including lessons learned;

• Regular site visits to ensure compliance / adherence to project technical requirements and ensure project is meeting its objectives.

• To provide regular reports (weekly, fortnightly & monthly) for the project(s) and help in preparing presentations for management and key Stakeholders’ review meetings.

• To provide support to more than one Project Manager and able to work on multiple projects at the same time.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

• 3+ years’ experience in Utility Scale Solar farms and/or BESS Projects in Australia

• Experience in coordinating with various contractors and consultants

• Experience in planning, organising, and coordinating delivery requirement
