Project Manager (Solar PV)
Job description
A well-established solar company with over a decade of market presence is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join its team in the Mannheim area. With around 50 employees and several hundred projects delivered each year, the company covers the full value chain: from sales and planning through to construction, commissioning, and project wrap-up – largely with its own in-house teams.
Since 2022, the company has been part of a larger energy group, a utility headquartered in Germany. As a wholly owned subsidiary, it plays a central role in their long-term strategy. This backing provides exceptional stability in an otherwise challenging solar market and ensures the business is positioned for sustainable growth.

This is a pivotal role within the organization, ensuring projects move efficiently from planning to execution while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
Taking over projects from the sales team and driving them through to completion
Reviewing and refining project planning, supported by in-house specialists
Coordinating with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials
Scheduling installation teams and monitoring progress
Conducting occasional site visits to check on customers and verify results
Ensuring accurate final documentation and project handover
Managing a portfolio of 30–40 projects in parallel, across different phases
Project Scope
Residential sector: PV systems up to 30 kWp
Commercial & industrial sector: PV systems up to 500 kWp
Profile
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of PV systems and installation processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Willingness to occasionally visit sites (field supervision not required)
Offer
Competitive salary in the range of €60,000–€75,000
Company bonus
Company car available for private use
The opportunity to play a crucial role in a stable and strategically important solar company
