The Green Recruitment Company are partnering with an ambitious, leading renewable energy company in the search for a Deputy Project Manager Based in Sydney. Our Client, a global renewable energy developer with a presence in 5 continents, was a pioneer in the Australian market with a portfolio of 400 MW and a Pipeline of projects of over 1 GW.
The Role will involve:
Managing generator registration approval processes with regulatory bodies including AEMO, Network Service Providers and State Government Departments for utility scale solar projects;
Managing technical interfaces with EPC Contractors, Owner’s Engineer, land holders, Cultural Heritage representatives, permitting authorities (local Councils) and connection activities (NSP / AEMO);
Overseeing technical review processes including safety in design, HAZOP, and operability reviews interfacing with Owner’s Engineer, EPC Contractor, NSP, Local Council DA requirements, Independent Certifiers, and internal company departments;
Overseeing design punch list items and manage contract compliance issues and contribute to resolution of open issues;
Contributing to the development and implementation of short- and longer-term strategies for developing new renewable energy projects including lessons learned;
Regular site visits to ensure compliance / adherence to project technical requirements and ensure project is meeting its objectives.
To provide regular reports (weekly, fortnightly & monthly) for the project(s) and help in preparing presentations for management and key Stakeholders’ review meetings.
To provide support to more than one Project Manager and able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
3+ years’ experience in Utility Scale Solar farms and/or BESS Projects in Australia
Experience in coordinating with various contractors and consultants
Experience in planning, organising, and coordinating delivery requirement
