Job Title: Offshore Contracts and Procurement Manager (Freelance)
Location: Taiwan
Pay Rate: £650 per day
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Contracts and Procurement Manager to manage the contracts and procurement activities for an offshore wind farm project in Taiwan. As a freelance Contracts and Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the project team to ensure that all contracts are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and that all procurement activities are carried out in compliance with the project requirements. You will be responsible for managing the contracts and procurement team, ensuring that all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the growth of renewable energy projects in Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the contracts and procurement activities for the offshore wind farm project, ensuring that all contracts are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner
Ensure that all procurement activities are carried out in compliance with the project requirements, including sourcing, bidding, and negotiating contracts
Manage the contracts and procurement team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure that all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that procurement schedules are met and projects are delivered within budget
Conduct regular audits of the contracts and procurement processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring that all parties are meeting the project's requirements and expectations
Prepare and present regular reports on the contracts and procurement activities to the project team and management
Manage the contract and procurement documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date
Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on contracts and procurement activities and issues
Qualifications:
• At least 10 years of experience in contracts and procurement management
• Knowledge of relevant Taiwanese regulations and procedures related to contracts and procurement in the renewable energy industry
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of contracts and procurement professionals
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines and changing priorities
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
Working Conditions:
This is a freelance position for the duration of the offshore wind farm project, expected to be 12-18 months in length
Work is primarily conducted in an office setting, but may require travel to project sites as needed
Work schedules may vary and require weekend or overtime work, as needed
