Role Overview
The Commissioning Manager will lead, plan, execute, and validate all commissioning activities for renewable energy EPC projects, including Solar PV, substations, and transmission infrastructure. The role ensures systems are tested, integrated, and handed over safely, reliably, and in line with performance requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures aligned with EPC project timelines.
Lead and supervise all site commissioning activities, including functional testing, equipment energization, SCADA integration, grid synchronization, and system handover.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, engineering teams, OEMs, utilities, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution.
Ensure all commissioning activities comply with quality standards, safety protocols, and performance criteria.
Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and troubleshoot technical issues during startup, testing, and validation.
Prepare progress reports, manage punch lists, and maintain complete commissioning documentation for handover.
Location
On-site in Uzbekistan (initially), with potential future assignments in the Middle East
Single-status position with accommodation and transportation provided from guest house to site
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field)
14+ years of experience in EPC projects, with 8–15 years specifically in commissioning for renewable energy or power infrastructure projects
Experience leading at least one PV project ≥350 MW
Technical expertise in Solar PV, Substations (66/132/220/400/765 kV), Transmission lines, SCADA, and protection systems
Proven experience working with EPC contractors, OEM suppliers, and utilities
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills; ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals
