​Job title: Commercial Manager - Procurement & Contracts

Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (Hybrid)

TGRC are working with a leading international energy company as they look to add to their Commercial team through the appointment of a Contracts & Procurement Manager.

This person will join a fast-growing and highly motivated business that is making leaps and bounds in support of the energy transition. You will play an integral role in the successful delivery of high-value and highly complex contracts, with the support of both local and global teams.

Your role:

• Develop procurement and related contractual management methods, processes and reporting systems to enable efficient and diligent contract management of main and subcontracts.

• Participate in negotiations with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers etc. at the tendering and execution phases

• Actively support the execution of main contracts, subcontracts, and supply contracts during the execution phase, ensuring all risks are managed and all contractual obligations are fulfilled

• Participate in claims and dispute resolution as may be needed

Your profile:

• 10+ years experience in commercial roles with a strong bias across procurement and contract management.

• Experience managing high-value and highly complex contracts, with a strong preference for energy, infrastructure or mining/industrial sectors

• A genuine love of contract management and a desire to deliver successful projects in line with time, cost and quality

• A self-starter who works well in a team

• Exposure to disputes and claims is beneficial
