TGRC is looking for an ambitious CCS Commercial Lead to act as a central liaison between technical, commercial, and operational teams.

For this role, my client is looking for a Commercial Lead with experience in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) initiatives to join their team. The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of the CCS value chain and a proven track record in commercial agreements within the energy sector.
Responsibilities:
Drive commercial activities for carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiatives, overseeing key agreements like offtake agreements, term sheets, and contracts.
Collaborate with technical teams to align technical assessments with business development strategies, ensuring the feasibility and viability of CCS projects.
Engage stakeholders at various levels, including industry partners, regulatory bodies, and local communities, to build collaboration and support for CCS initiatives.
Perform financial modeling and economic analysis to guide investment decisions for CCS projects.
Proactively identify emerging trends and opportunities in the CCS market.
Foster innovation and creativity within the team to drive commercial success, cultivating an entrepreneurial culture.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on executing & navigating commercial agreements and an understanding of business development workflows.
Familiar with the CCS value chain, including carbon capture, transportation, and storage.
Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong understanding of midstream infrastructure and its role in energy projects.
Proficient in financial modeling and economic analysis, with the ability to develop robust business cases for CCS projects.
Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
