My client is a leading global manufacturer of innovative products for deep sea technology. They design, engineer, and manufacture essential technology. They are looking for Business Development Manager to develop their global Offshore Renewable Energy through sustainable profitable growth in the sales of systems and instruments. This would mainly include offshore wind (floating and fixed) but would also have some scope within wave, tidal, current and green hydrogen production projects.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Main objective is to grow the business’ offshore renewable energy market share and customer base. You would be required to do this using a variety of business development techniques.
  • Active networking and participation with trade bodies, institutions/societies etc, conference presentations, publication of papers, and delivering innovative targeted marketing initiative.
  • Providing a leadership presence into the Offshore Renewable Energy market.
  • Defining new product and technology requirements for the Offshore Renewable Energy marketplace
  • To develop and agree an annual sales forecast for the Offshore Renewable Energy in relation with regional sales management and sales teams.
  • Preparing reports on commercial performance, which would include successes and failures of market initiatives and product developments; creating content for the energy market board report, market information packs


Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Offshore wind experience/knowledge desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of subsea technology
  • Strong business development background
  • Proven experience of developing commercial market perspectives and identifying new business opportunities
  • Proven experience of developing and successfully delivering on a business plan
  • Proven experience of building networks and effective business relationships
  • Track record of delivering significant sales growth
