​Role: Business Development (M&A) Associate

The Opportunity:

The Green Recruitment Company is partnering with a growing renewable energy development company, as it looks to build out its finance team. The company focuses on developing, owning, and operating utility-scale sustainable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of renewable energy markets, solar energy technologies, and project finance principles to create value for the company and more effectively serve the company's needs. A strong background in Financial Modeling and M&A in renewable energy is essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Assess renewable energy generation and energy storage projects and portfolios for potential acquisition.

• Create and manage complex financial models while facilitating due diligence inquiries, collaborating closely with internal teams and external consultants.

• Deliver findings and investment suggestions to senior leadership and oversight committee.

• Aid in advancing owned assets by offering analytical assistance in critical contract discussions, engineering enhancements, project development tasks, and funding strategies.

Requirements:

• 2 years professional finance experience, with at least 1 year of which is in the renewable energy industry.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, solar energy technologies, and project finance principles

• Proficiency and proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel (including proven experience with Excel-based project models) in a business setting.
