​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be supporting our Client, a global clean technology company, who provide tech-enabled risk management & asset optimisation solutions across the energy sector.

They seek a new Back Office Analyst to join their growing CFO team & strengthen their analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in back office & financial operations, with a good working knowledge of power commodities. They will be analytical & highly numerate, with a strong attention to detail, as well as an excellent communicator who is able to engage with individuals across all different levels of seniority.

About the Role

This role will be part of the team responsible for the trade life-cycle management of all trades concluded by their Front Office. This includes confirmations, margin & collateral management, invoicing and settlements.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all OTC & inter-company settlements are completed on time.

• Owning the end of day cashflow report to ensure all settlements have been reconciled & processed.

• Reconciling and settling monthly renewable PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) contracts.

• Producing monthly KPIs for management to show performance by the wider Back Office team.

• Acting as key point of contact for Compliance to ensure the team is performing all required regulatory tasks.

• Assisting the team with process improvement around automation & with the onboarding of new counterparts into their trading system.

Role Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in power markets, with strong working knowledge of the trade life-cycle from a Back Office function.

• Intermediate Excel skills, including competence working with large data sets

• Excellent communicator with a self-starter attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Salary: £40-50k DOE + bonus / Location: Central London – 3 days min. per week in office
