Corporate Finance Analyst
Job description
An exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join a dynamic finance team within the energy sector. This junior-level position is ideal for a finance graduate with around 2 years of experience who is looking to develop a career in management accounting and cost control.
As a Finance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, with a particular focus on cost control, budget monitoring, and reporting. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to financial processes within a fast-moving and essential industry while receiving full support towards your CIMA qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Support the cost controller in monitoring and analysing project and operational costs
Assist in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and budget reports
Provide variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Collaborate with project teams to track spend, raise purchase orders, and ensure alignment with budgets
Support the month-end and year-end close process
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
About You
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
Around 2 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally within an industry or project environment
Strong analytical and Excel skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiastic about developing a career in finance within the energy sector
Motivated to pursue and complete the CIMA qualification (full study support provided)
