Development Analyst

Our client is a small team of industry veterans focused on accelerating the deployment of wind energy in America.
The Development Analyst/Associate will play a central role in supporting our client's growing portfolio of wind development projects. This position sits at the intersection of project development, finance, and strategy—providing visibility across all major workstreams. This team member will maintain current project schedules and budgets, support critical development decisions via insightful analysis, coordinate closely with the finance group to optimize capital deployment, and provide portfolio-level reporting and insights. This is a hands-on role that offers a strong learning opportunity in all aspects of renewable project development.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
Provide desktop analysis to support key development decisions including real estate, interconnection, permitting, and offtake strategies
Track milestones, deliverables, and progress against development timelines.
Support financial modeling and ensure assumptions reflect current project status.
Coordinate with the finance team on cash needs and capital planning.
Prepare portfolio-level reports and analysis for management and investors.
Identify and communicate risks or variances affecting project schedules or budgets.
Support internal documentation, presentations, and data management.
Contribute to process improvements in project tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Familiarity with wind project development and key drivers of schedule and cost.
1–5 years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project finance preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and project management
Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
