Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Incident management and resolution including the closing out all logged incidents (including preventative maintenance);

  • Support insurance claims (coordinate processing of claim, including sourcing of information and documents/supporting information from the Operational Compliance and Data teams);

  • Manage manufacturer warranties (and similar);

  • Handover of O&M contractors;

  • Being the first point of contact with the O&M providers;

  • Manage and recover Liquidated Damages payable under the O&M Contract;

  • Manage grid outages by liaising closely with the Grid and Distribution Network Operators;

  • Manage Meter Operator including reviewing contractual arrangements;

  • Manage power purchase agreements (PPAs) including, support mechanism payments (FiT ROC etc.);

  • Maintain high levels of security across the sites and dealing with incidents as they arise;

  • Contributing to preventative maintenance and optimisation strategies;

  • EPC compliance and completion of contractual milestones and functional testing including FAC (punch list completion);

  • Coordinate H&S inspections and follow up (appointment of auditors/advisors, record and log post audit actions and completion of H&S actions by O&M or other. With support of Operational Compliance Team);

  • Coordinate ESG and sustainability activities performed on and around the projects;

  • Maintain filing and folder structures across the portfolio (with support of Operational Compliance Team);

  • Contribute and coordinate reports required by the various stakeholders across the portfolio;

  • Ad hoc technical queries on the portfolio

The Person:

  • Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities.

  • Engineering degree with relevant previous experience, including a project management background in the solar energy industry within the UK.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of solar technologies and all major components in a solar plant.

  • Experience in design review checks of operational projects.

  • Experience in contractual reviews (i.e. EPC, O&M, meter operator, connection agreements).

  • Experience of working with technical advisors.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of: OFGEM, DN0, Council regulations and requirements.

  • Effectively manage time to meet deadlines.

  • Up to date relevant knowledge of electrical legislation and health and safety legislation.

  • Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based.
