Job title: Wind Yield Engineer

Location: London Area, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

TGRC is looking for a Wind Yield Engineer to work with a leading Australian advisory firm in London or Manchester.

The Green Recruitment Company is currently working with a leading Australian advisory firm who are investing significantly in renewable energy in the UK.

The business is looking for a Wind Yield Engineer to join their teams in London or Manchester. The Wind Yield Engineer will play a critical role in informing decision-making processes for wind energy projects by providing accurate assessments of energy production potential and identifying strategies for maximizing energy yield and project profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting wind analysis to assess the wind resource at potential project sites.

  • Providing a range of technical advisory related to energy yield analysis.

  • Using the wind resource assessment data, along with information about turbine specifications and site conditions, to estimate the expected energy production of the wind farm or wind turbine.

  • Modelling and simulating using specialized software tools and numerical models to simulate the behaviour of wind turbines and predict their energy production under different conditions.

  • Identifying opportunities to optimise the performance and energy yield of wind energy projects through improvements in turbine layout, turbine selection, control strategies, and other factors.

  • Ensuring high-quality technical deliverables to clients for onshore and offshore wind farm projects.

  • Commercial sales and technical work, supporting clients throughout the development, financing and operation of their projects.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in wind energy yield assessment

  • Experience in technical project management

  • Communication and reporting skills

  • Confidence in providing technical advisory related to wind analysis to a range of technical and non-technical clients
