Job description
We are looking for driven and enthusiastic Technical Sales personnel, to support our growing Sustainability and Net Zero Solutions ambition, to join our growing commercial team, providing an opportunity to work with a wide range of our largest clients and prospects.
Reporting into the Commercial Director you will be responsible for supporting our sales team. You will play a crucial role in following up on and identifying new opportunities to expand our technical service offerings with new and existing customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical Expertise:
Develop an in-depth understanding of our sustainable energy solutions, including renewable energy systems, energy management technologies, carbon reduction strategies and other innovative initiatives.
Stay up to date with the latest industry advancements and emerging sustainable practices.
Sales and Pre-Sales Support:
Collaborate closely with the Technical Services team/CSM and BDMs to understand customer requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the sales process.
Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, propose tailored solutions, and offer expert advice on the implementation and integration of our sustainable energy products and services.
Clearly convey our approach, capabilities, and the benefits of our sustainability solutions and technical expertise.
Utilise your technical knowledge to effectively communicate how our products can address customer challenges, meet sustainability goals, and drive tangible results.
Customer Relationship Building:
Build strong and enduring relationships with prospective clients, serving as a trusted advisor.
Collaboration:
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align pre-sales activities with overall business objectives.
Essential Experience required:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or experience in a related role, where a good knowledge and understanding has been gained and demonstratable. Previous experience in a pre-sales, technical sales, or engineering role, preferably within the sustainability or clean energy industry, is highly desirable but not essential.
Technical Aptitude:
Solid technical background and understanding of sustainable energy practices, renewable energy systems, energy efficiency measures, government funded decarbonisation and net zero schemes and related solutions.
