​Technical Project Manager (BESS)

The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside one of the UK’s leading solar and battery developers, with a successful track record of delivering an extensive project pipeline, unlocking hundreds of megawatts of solar and storage.

Our Client, are seeking a highly driven, detail oriented Technical Project Manager (BESS) to support the development and construction of utility scale energy storage projects across the UK. This role will assist both grid and development teams, taking projects through form origination to ready to build status.

Responsibilities

• Developing, tendering and negotiating technical contracts, including EPC and O&M contracts, alongside the Technical Director.

• Providing technical expertise to the grid, development and asset management teams.

• Assisting the origination team in securing electrical connections for potential energy storage projects.

• Supporting the development team with detailed site design.

• Managing external consultants and internal team resources to meet development criteria and prepare the sites for handover to the construction/delivery team.

• Liaising with the EPC site manager/project manager, tracking construction progress, conducting site visits, and preparing progress reports.

• Managing key relationship with the EPC contractor and with other key stakeholders.

Experience

• Ability to combine, legal, planning, technical and commercial knowledge to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of the design, development, construction, and operation and maintenance of energy storage systems.

• Proven track record in managing numerous projects simultaneously.

• Ability to combine, legal, planning, technical and commercial knowledge to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

• Experience in financial managements, agreeing and managing budgets.
