​Title: Sustainability Manager

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (Hybrid)

The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be assisting a top Management Consultancy in their search for a Sustainability Manager. You will play a crucial role in helping their clients integrate sustainability principles into their business strategies. You will work closely with their clients to assess their current sustainability practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop customized strategies to enhance their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Consultation:

   Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals, challenges, and opportunities.

2. Sustainability Assessment:

   Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' current sustainability practices, including environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance structures.

3. Strategy Development:

   Develop tailored sustainability strategies aligned with clients' business objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

4. Implementation Support:

   Provide guidance and support to clients in implementing sustainability initiatives, including setting targets, establishing metrics, and engaging stakeholders.

5. Performance Monitoring:

   Track and evaluate the effectiveness of clients' sustainability programs, identifying areas for improvement and recommending adjustments as needed.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:

   Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, employees, customers, investors, and regulators, to promote sustainability initiatives and garner support.

7. Thought Leadership:

   Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability, and share insights with clients and colleagues through thought leadership articles, presentations, and workshops.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Minimum of [X] years of experience in sustainability consulting, corporate sustainability, or related field.

• Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG Scope 1,2 and 3).

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

• Proven project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change within organizations.
