Solar PV M&A Manager - EMEA

Great opportunity to join an established M&A function, focusing on renewable energy projects throughout EMEA.


The Opportunity:

  • Run market sounding exercises and roadshows for each market of interests to assess pipeline potential and exit market conditions that shall guide company’s project development activities
  • Prepare comprehensive investment decks and financial models to support portfolios valuations and Investment Committee reviews
  • Review project internal documentation and status to ensure that the assets meet the highest standards to maximize the profitability of the transaction before reaching the market
  • Support throughout the review of different sale structures and bidders’ selection, manage the entire due diligence process and contract negotiation to make sure the transaction achieves the expected KPIs
  • Prepare and manage virtual data rooms during the entire due diligence process, coordinating relations with investors, legal, financial and technical advisors, DNOs, EPC contractors, O&M contractors and Asset/Project Managers
  • Interface closely with Project Finance, Business Development, Engineering, Legal and other departments to make sure transactions move forward quickly and efficiently according to budget forecasts

The Individual:

  • Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Law 
  • Understanding of solar PV systems and solar PV market is a must
  • Proven experience in solar transactions within Tier 1, international companies 
  • Proven experience in negotiating, reviewing and managing main project contracts (Grid connection agreement, PPA, EPC, O&M, Asset Management)
  • M&A and project management capabilities
  • Any experience with financial modelling and valuation would be a plus
  • Excellent teamwork and cross-cultural skills
  • High level of English is mandatory
  • Good level of Spanish would be preferred
