​The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with an industry leader in commercial scale solar development and construction that is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join their project development team. We are looking for candidates with experience in either rooftop or ground mount project development.

Employment: Direct Hire

Location: REMOTE (US)

Compensation: $90k+ (DOE)

The Solar Project Development Manager will lead community solar and solar+storage project development throughout the US while working closely with senior management. This role oversees a team of project developers responsible for specific activities during project development, including interconnection, surveying, permitting, financial modeling, and internal/external reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage a team of developers, ensuring the company is maintaining project deadlines and budgets.

  • Overseeing reporting and processes, such that proper controls, approvals, and regular updates to the broader management team are put in place.

  • Manage key development items including interconnection, permitting, surveying, and contract negotiations.

  • Perform due diligence and financial analysis of opportunities in various markets.

  • Lead research initiatives in new and existing markets.

  • Work closely with the Procurement and Deployment teams during development phases and early deployment phases.

  • Negotiate key long-term contracts including leases, LOIs, and PPAs.

Knowledge and Skills

  • At least 4-7 years of solar development experience.

  • Have a strong understanding of community solar and net metering project development and its associated financial incentive structures.

  • Proven track record in successful development renewable energy projects

  • Ability to analyze information, interpret data, and solve practical problems

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize workload

  • Self-starter who likes to consistently meet and exceed targets

  • Experience with MS Office, utilizing CRMs, shared folder drives, and similar tools

  • Willingness to travel occasionally
