Summary:

A well respected, international Solar PV company are seeking a Solar PV Electrician and High Voltage Switching Operator to work and be based from one of their solar farms in North Queensland

This is a drive-in drive out role with a clearly defined roster. You will need to live in the North Queensland area to carry out this role sufficiently. You will be supplied with a company vehicle and fuel card

 

The Role:

Your responsibilities as Solar Electrician will be as follows:

·        Working with the Plant Manager; Technical Field Managers & Operations Manager to ensure safe operation of Solar PV assets at all times

·        Monitoring & controlling assets as required via SCADA and interfacing systems, 

·        Reacting to new and developing events onsite

·        Contributing to the content of the operational report, as defined by agreement (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)

·        Maintenance and servicing 

·        Cleaning of modules, inverters or associated electrical components

·        Promptly Identify, locate and respond to all fault situations

·        Carry out Due Diligence site and paperwork inspections

·        Repair and Retro-fittings

·        Complete documentation of all works

·        Workplace Health & Safety

 

Requirements from you:

·        A Valid Electrical Qualification for performing works on Solar Farms

·        HVSO Certificate and High Voltage Switching experience

·        A valid Driver’s Licence Relevant

·        Safety Certifications (White Card)

·        Valid First Aid & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue Trained

·        Experience as an installation electrician working in Low Voltage (LV) applications

·        Experience working on DC electrical systems

·        Experience with Data Communications (data logger, routers, data bus system, internet connection)
