​Job Title: Site Supervisor - HV Power Transformers

Location: Surrey, England (Hybrid)

TGRC is working with a leading global supplier of high-voltage power transformers who have project experience in over 70 countries. Due to securing significant substation contracts with National Grid, they are looking for a Site Supervisor to join their expanding UK team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage power transformers at project sites, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project schedule standards.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop detailed site plans, schedules, and resource allocation for transformer installation projects.

• In addition, conduct a pre-site survey before commencing the site work.

• Prioritize and enforce strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections to maintain a zero-incident work environment.

• Additionally, conduct meetings with clients and installers to ensure everyone understands the scope of the work.

• Assess and manage safety hazards ensuring each individual knows of all potential safety hazards at the site.

• Control documents including RAMS, ITP, STP, site work program and HSE as per UK standards and client specifications.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, and as-built drawings.

• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation and commissioning activities.

• Provide guidance and training to on-site personnel, ensuring a skilled and knowledgeable workforce for HV Power Transformer projects.

• Lastly, monitor and manage project budgets related to site activities, including labour, materials, and equipment costs.

Your Profile:

• Previous experience as a site supervisor in the power transformer installation, service, and maintenance field.

• Preferred experience working with National Grid and SPEN.

• In-depth knowledge of HV Power Transformer installation, testing, and commissioning processes. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

• Lastly, strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, engineers, and project teams.
