About the Company: Our client is a leading Renewable Energy Developer with a strong commitment to sustainability and the environment. They specialize in onshore wind projects and are currently seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to join their team in Kansas on a contractual basis.
Job Description: As a Site Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel working on onshore wind projects in Kansas. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, promoting a culture of safety excellence and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute site-specific safety plans in accordance with company policies and local regulations. 
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at project sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. 
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to establish safety objectives and goals. 
- Provide safety training, orientation, and continuous education to project personnel, ensuring full awareness of safety procedures and guidelines. 
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. 
- Maintain and update safety records, incident reports, and safety-related documentation. 
- Stay up-to-date with state and federal safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends. 
- Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from project personnel. 
- Foster a positive safety culture by actively engaging with on-site teams and instilling a sense of responsibility for safety. 
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Safety Manager or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on onshore wind projects. 
- Deep knowledge of onshore wind construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, and industry-specific safety standards. 
- Strong leadership and communication skills for effective interaction with project teams and stakeholders. 
- Ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions, especially in high-pressure situations. 
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR) are highly advantageous. 
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
