About the Company: Our client is a prominent Renewable Energy Developer with a strong commitment to sustainability and the environment. They specialize in onshore wind projects and are currently seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to join their team in Iowa on a contractual basis.

Job Description: As a Site Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety programs to ensure the well-being of personnel working on onshore wind projects in Iowa. Your role will be pivotal in promoting a culture of safety excellence and compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute site-specific safety plans in alignment with company policies and local regulations.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at project sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to establish safety goals and objectives.

• Provide safety training, orientation, and ongoing education to project personnel, ensuring they are well-informed about safety procedures and guidelines.

• Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

• Maintain and update safety records, incident reports, and safety-related documentation.

• Stay current with state and federal safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends.

• Serve as the point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from project personnel.

• Foster a positive safety culture by actively engaging with on-site teams and instilling a sense of responsibility for safety.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Site Safety Manager or similar role in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on onshore wind projects.

• In-depth knowledge of onshore wind construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, and industry-specific safety standards.

• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with project teams and stakeholders.

• The ability to work independently and make sound decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations.

• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR) are highly desirable.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
