​Site Manager

Location: South Africa

Salary: £45k to £55K per annum

Our client is looking for someone to cover mainly UK & Ireland territory, dealing with clients such as Utilities, EPC’s, DNO’s and any other potential clients overseeing onsite projects of installation of power transformers & transformer components.

Roles & Responsibility:

·         Scheduling and controlling the site work such as installation and cold commissioning

·         Quality control for power transformer & GIS installation

·         Ensuring HSE management onsite

·         Document control for the client, i.e., RAMS

·         Monitoring and reporting the progress of the project

·         Subcontractor management during the installation and commissioning

·         Supervising subcontractor during the installation and commissioning work

·         Participate the meeting with client or concerned parties

·         Networking with the client and Collecting Voice of Customer

·         Supervision if required

·         Prerequisite

o   Has experience as site manager or equivalent position for more than 7 years.

o   Experience in the installation completion of power transformers or GIS 10 times or more.

o   Experience working with DNO’s, Utilities or EPCM’s.

·         Certificate

o   Has a certificate of Site manager (SMSTS or SSSTS).

o   Has a certificate of confined space.

o   Has a certificate of working at Height.

Has a certificate of NG competent person, relevant SPEN certificate if any

o   Has a certificate of Man Lift (MEWP).

·           Preferred

o   Has high understanding of Power Transformer and Power Transformer component.

o   Good understanding & familiar with site work of National Grid UK and SPEN in Scotland

o   Has ability to understand basic technical requirements.
