Senior Technical Due Diligence Consultant - Offshore Wind

My client is an international leading technical and advisory consultancy in the energy market, with over 11,000 employees across 160 offices. They now have an ambition to grow their offshore wind division. Having made key hires for market renowned professionals known amongst the offshore wind sector, they are looking to hire talented and ambitious individual. Their footprint spans: project development, owner's engineering, technical due diligence, and independent engineering.

We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Consultant to join my clients’ our Offshore Wind team.

Your Role

As a Senior Technical Due Diligence Consultant, you will:

  • Lead diverse consultancy assignments in offshore wind and renewable energy, managing multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery of projects.

  • Guide and train my client’s staff on technical due diligence, valuation, and risk management.

  • Develop new consultancy opportunities using your network.

  • Prepare tenders and proposals in collaboration with department heads.

  • Consult on various offshore wind topics including project development, feasibility, procurement, construction, and more.

  • Maintain project budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and policies.

  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated on technological and regulatory developments impacting the business.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or a related field.

  • 5-8 years of experience in technical advisory roles within the renewable energy sector, particularly offshore wind.

  • Proven experience in leading technical due diligence and advisory projects.

  • Strong project management skills with a client-oriented focus.

  • Expertise in one or more areas of technical due diligence (e.g., wind turbine technology, supply chain, electrical systems).

  • Established client network in due diligence (buyer, seller, lender sides).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent technical knowledge across all phases of offshore wind projects.
