Senior Project Manager

Location: Edinburgh / York / Hybrid – 2/3 days per week.

TGRC is working with is a successful UK based renewable business that finds land and manages the process to get all required permits to commence construction of battery or solar units at grid scale (“Ready to Build” status or “RTB”) who are looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their friendly, successful, and expanding team.

Position:

The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership by building and managing project teams and motivating them to hit project milestones. Their primary duties include setting schedules, managing finances, operating within the development life cycle and with stage gate quality guidelines throughout the development

The Senior Project Manager will require to have previous experience and an understanding of how the environmental, technical, and commercial aspects of projects interact. He/she will need to liaise and co-ordinate with teams both in-house and externally; in terms of Grid Engineering, Technical design, Planning and Consenting, as well as Legal and Legislative frame working. Working with and reporting directly to the Development Director, they will also work directly on with Local and National Planning Authorities, statutory consultees, stakeholder groups, and with public consultation assemblies.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with projects in UK.

  • Co-ordination, management, and delivery of projects all stages of development from initial site evaluation and assessment through to pre-construction, ready to build phasing and sale.

  • Project financial tracking, budgeting, and management; as well as the project financial reporting individually and collectively.

  • Coordination and management of development teams (planning, grid, land and legal)

  • Managing planning applications, ready for consent.

  • Coordination and managing environmental, technical, and commercial interactions to ensure projects are brought through to reach successful objective.

  • Liaising and negotiating with Landholders alongside land and legal teams, which also includes for strategy planning for both development and any third party land required.

  • Coordination and management of Grid / technical teams, including assessment of Connection Offers in terms of financial and practical viability.
