Client: A leading solar energy company dedicated to driving the global transition towards clean and sustainable energy solutions. As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing their procurement activities and supply chain operations to support the overall mission of building a greener future.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Supplier Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers, monitor their adherence to quality standards, and address any issues or concerns.
Continuously evaluate the market for potential suppliers, new technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Streamline and optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and digitization to enhance procurement operations.
Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the availability of materials and resources.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions in the availability of key components or materials.
Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize the impact of supply chain disruptions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions that may impact procurement and supply chain activities.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability within the procurement team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and supplier management strategies.
Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and achieving cost savings.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
