Role Overview:
The company is seeking a Senior Manager, Origination to lead structured gas and power transactions. This individual will be responsible for sourcing and executing natural gas supply, wholesale electricity, and utility service agreements, primarily across Western U.S. and Canadian markets.
This role reports into senior commercial leadership and works cross-functionally with trading, development, and executive teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day buy-side gas and power origination activities
Develop and maintain relationships with commodity trading desks and market participants
Structure and execute gas and power transactions to support generation and infrastructure portfolios
Collaborate with internal development teams to align commercial strategy with project progress
Support internal approval processes for transactions
Monitor market, regulatory, and policy developments impacting strategy and pipeline
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in gas and power trading, structuring, or origination
Deep understanding of gas and power markets, including pipelines, storage, and grid dynamics
Proven track record of sourcing and executing energy transactions
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel as required
