Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager to take ownership of all day-to-day human resources operations and help shape the future of the company’s people strategy. This position will initially focus on supporting a high-volume recruitment phase and will gradually evolve to provide strategic HR leadership across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating independently, advising leadership, and delivering a best-in-class employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. This role can be titledHead of HR,HR Manager, orSenior HR Managerdepending on the candidate’s background and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate the company’s mission and growth goals into a people-first HR strategy.
Lead recruitment efforts, partnering with hiring managers and agencies to attract top talent.
Manage compensation and benefits administration, and contribute to evolving these offerings over time.
Act as a trusted HR advisor to employees and leadership across all levels of the organisation.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal, governance, and ISO9001 requirements.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance, and offboarding.
Coordinate and enhance the performance review process.
Lead learning and development initiatives to support career growth and skills advancement.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure full compliance with employment legislation.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
3–5 years of experience with a relevant degree or 5–7 years of hands-on HR experience.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
Proven ability to manage HR operations independently.
Expertise in handling the full employee lifecycle.
Familiarity with payroll, benefits, and leave management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
CIPD or equivalent HR qualification.
Experience in a high-growth or scale-up environment.
Familiarity with platforms like HiBob, payroll systems, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Prior experience managing L&D programs or HR analytics.
Previous people management experience is a plus.
