Job description

​As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, your responsibilities will revolve around project delivery across diverse clients, sectors, and energy-related topics. Day-to-day tasks will vary based on project scope and requirements.

Company Overview:

TGRC is working with a client who is actively seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to fill the roles of Consultants and Senior Consultants (three positions available) within our company, based in either Melbourne or Sydney. We welcome individuals with a passion for breaking conventional norms to join us in contributing to transformative change.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting literature reviews and desktop research

  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Executing technology cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies

  • Coordinating stakeholder engagement and workshops

  • Synthesizing information, extracting key insights, and formulating recommendations

  • Drafting reports and developing concise presentations

  • Actively participating in client meetings related to assigned projects.

  • Assisting in the company's business development efforts and contributing to proposal writing

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about energy transition and climate change, with a keen interest in energy, environment, and sustainable development. Additional requirements include:

  • Familiarity with Australian energy sector policy, regulation, and commercial landscapes

For Consultant roles:

  • Recent graduates with a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, commerce, finance, public policy)

  • 1-2 years of consulting experience will be highly valued.

For Senior Consultant roles:

  • 2-4 years of consulting experience or equivalent industry experience

  • Essential skills: effective verbal and written communication, critical thinking, comparative analysis, and synthesis capabilities, adherence to time constraints, intellectual rigour, curiosity, open-mindedness, empathy, and team spirit

  • Technical skills: strong analytical abilities, advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold Australian citizenship/permanent residency or possess ongoing working rights in Australia (mandatory). Fluency in English is also a prerequisite.

  • Location: Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne
