Job Summary

As the SCADA Manager for BESS, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation out their energy storage assets. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the SCADA system that monitors and controls BESS installations. This role requires a deep understanding of SCADA technology, energy storage systems, and a strong commitment to safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

SCADA System Management:

• Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of SCADA systems for multiple BESS projects.

• Ensure real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and control capabilities of BESS assets.

• Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard SCADA systems and data.

Performance Optimization:

• Continuously monitor BESS performance through SCADA systems and take proactive measures to optimize energy storage operations.

• Analyze data trends and anomalies to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.

System Integration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SCADA systems with other control and monitoring systems, including inverters, switchgear, and renewable energy sources.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

• Lead troubleshooting efforts in the event of system faults or alarms and coordinate with maintenance teams for rapid resolution.

• Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and software updates for SCADA systems.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Generate regular reports on BESS performance and SCADA system status.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of SCADA configurations and updates.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure SCADA systems adhere to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

• Implement best practices for data security and maintain compliance with cybersecurity requirements.

Training and Development:

• Provide training and guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on the proper use of SCADA systems.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to SCADA and BESS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

• Proven experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and management, preferably in the renewable energy or utility sector.

• Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems and associated technologies.

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and protocols for SCADA systems.

• Proficiency in SCADA software, such as Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, or similar platforms.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
