About the Company
Our client is a top-tier Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specialising in solar PV modules, inverters, mounting brackets, and other renewable energy components. With a rapidly expanding international footprint, the company delivers reliable, high-performance solutions to project developers, EPCs, and distributors across the globe.
As part of its regional growth strategy, the company is seeking a Sales Manager based in Kuala Lumpur to lead sales and market development efforts across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving regional sales growth and strategic partnerships across the SEA market. The role will focus on promoting the company’s full product suite—including solar PV modules, inverters, and mounting systems—and supporting commercial engagement from lead generation through to contract negotiation and after-sales coordination.
This position requires strong technical sales acumen, cross-border experience, and a proactive, client-facing approach.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business development efforts across Southeast Asia, identifying and converting sales opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, developers, and local distributors
Promote the company’s core product lines: solar PV modules, string/central inverters, and mounting brackets
Coordinate regional sales campaigns, pricing strategy, and channel partner engagement
Provide technical product presentations and support client enquiries during the sales cycle
Track market trends, policy developments, and competitive activity in SEA energy markets
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings throughout the region
Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market feedback to headquarters
Meet or exceed sales targets across multiple Southeast Asian markets
Candidate Requirements
3–5 years of sales or business development experience in renewable energy or electrical equipment
Knowledge of solar PV modules, inverters, and mounting systems is highly desirable
Experience working across Southeast Asia, with strong regional market knowledge
Demonstrated ability to manage technical sales processes and cross-cultural client relationships
Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident in high-level commercial negotiations
Fluent in English; Mandarin and/or local SEA languages are advantageous
Based in Kuala Lumpur or open to relocation; willingness to travel across SEA is essential
