Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have exclusively partnered, with a leading global, energy solutions provider, to identify a new Sales Director to join the UK team.

The new Sales Director will be focused on development & deployment of clean energy infrastructure, specifically in that of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

This individual will ideally have a strong track record in “Business Development”, linked specifically to energy storage projects – but moreover, seeing projects through initiation, permitting, design, procurement, planning & construction-ready, equally advantageous.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote BESS solution in the UK.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and industry stakeholders.

  • Provide technical and commercial guidance to customers in selecting the appropriate BESS solutions for their needs.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends.

  • Prepare and deliver techno-commercial presentations and proposals to customers and partners.

  • Collaborate with the tendering team in the UK & engineering team at the H/Q to ensure that BESS solutions meet the needs of the UK market.

  • Identification, selection, and engagement of the utility-scale of BESS projects that are under development by local developers in conjunction with investors.

  • Evaluate the viability of projects/pipeline opportunities (in. financial modelling) including land, grid, and planning aspects.

Requirements;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of BESS technologies

  • Understanding of renewable energy development lifecycle

  • Exceptional analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative

  • Understanding of grid offers and technical elements of projects.

  • Understanding of planning constraints and risks.

  • Experience with financial modelling.
