Job description

​TGRC is looking for a Renewable Energy Network Engineer to support grid connections for wind, PV and storage projects, including advice on optimal solutions. You will take charge of the technical planning of the infrastructure, implementation support, and additional tasks such as due diligence support for investors and participation in feasibility studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of grid connection concepts for wind, PV and storage projects

  • Additionally, planning and implementation of substations, transfer stations and cable networks

  • Support for grid connection issues in all project phases (feasibility, planning, implementation)

  • Optimization of network connections through network calculations and economic evaluations

  • Coordination and negotiations with network operators, system manufacturers and certifiers

  • In addition, carrying out plant inspections

  • Participation in due diligence reports

  • Lastly, advising customers in Germany and Europe

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering with a focus on energy technology or comparable

  • In addition, several years of experience in planning and implementing network connections

  • Knowledge of network calculations with programs such as PowerFactory, and PSS SINCAL is an advantage

  • Familiarity with common standards and guidelines (VDE-AR-N 4110, VDE-AR-N 4120, etc.)

  • Ability to explain complex issues verbally and in writing together with solution-oriented thinking

  • Furthermore, willingness to undertake occasional business trips (class B driving license available)

  • Lastly, good knowledge of German and English, spoken and written (C1)
