​THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Client is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to assist with land transactions related to the development and financing of utility-scale solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Texas real estate law, as well as experience working in the solar industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with drafting purchase agreements, lease agreements, easements, and other real estate-related documents

• Working closely with the project development team to ensure real estate requirements are met for project development

• Assisting with the management of the title insurance company and reviewing title commitments and surveys

• Assisting with title curative work including obtaining crossing agreements and subordination agreements

• Maintaining accurate and organized records of all real estate transactions.

• Handling the filing process with various clerks.

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5+ years real estate paralegal experience with a focus on land acquisition and leasing in Texas

• Renewable energy project real estate experience preferred

• Some corporate paralegal experience is preferred, but not required

• Paralegal certification in Texas is a plus

• Excellent, detail-oriented, high-accuracy drafting skills

• Extensive title and survey experience

• Strong grasp of real estate contract terms and ability to understand legal documents

• Microsoft Office skills

• Title research skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
