Location: Dusseldorf (Hybrid - 3 days/week)
Salary: Up to €100,000+ 20% Bonus
The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with one of the biggest renewable energy producers and solutions providers in Europe in their search for a skilled Quantitative Developer to play a significant role in their digitalisation and data-centric growth.
As a key member of the Development team, you would have the exciting opportunity to build & develop innovative models for the Origination & Trading team, effectively acting as a technical consultant for internal industry experts.
This individual would be sat in a team of development/data science experts, supporting traders, analysts, & IT amongst others, so strongPython skills& cloud experience are essential – ideally in in commodity/energy trading markets.
Key responsibilities
Build & develop innovative models & applications for the Origination & Trading (O&T) team.
Working with trade analysts - providing solutions, models, & tools fitting their requirements.
Maintain & continuously improve the existing, robust marketing models.
Oversee challenging technical challenges, collaborating with other internal teams.
Coordinate with IT on the development of the trading & analytics platform using real-time & historic datasets.
Required attributes:
Minimum 3 years of work experience with Python, with excellent coding, model development and data management capabilities.
Relevant academic background – MSc or PhD in a Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics subject.
Proven experience in a Quantitative Developer/Data Science position.
Experience working in commodity/energy trading markets.
Ability to collaborate across different functions and communicate effectively.
Verbal & written fluency in English.
Desirables:
Experience working on Python integration projects surrounding C#, .NET, C++ etc.
Strong analytical skills and commercial mindset.
Cloud experience (Ideally Azure).
