Job description

There's an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Associate or Associate Director to join one of our clients' leading Projects team in either London or Bristol. You will be involved in a variety of energy transactions and energy projects, focused on the renewables sector/net zero. You will be given early responsibility for building client relationships and business development whilst working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The Practice:

Their energy team offers clients expertise in energy M&A, commercial energy contracts, project development, project finance, restructurings and exits. They support clients across a wide-range of low carbon technologies including solar, wind, storage, biomass, green hydrogen, small modular nuclear reactors and electric vehicle charging. Their clients include some of the leading developers, sponsors and lenders in the energy sector on a UK-wide level and internationally. They also have market-leading energy practices in several other European markets including Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Poland. The wider Projects team has expertise in education, universities, healthcare, rail, roads, airports and related transport infrastructure.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, they are ideally looking to appoint a Senior Associate or Associate Director, although they will consider candidates with more or less experience.

The work requires a combination of industry and market knowledge, a strong transactional skillset and legal/risk management expertise.

They are interested in hearing from candidates who:

  • have a broad range of experience across energy M&A and/or energy projects work

  • have experience of transactional energy matters and/or complex projects

  • have a passion for playing a role in the energy transition

  • enjoy working collaboratively with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
