Lead Utility-Scale Renewable Energy Projects

A leading Chinese EPC contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.

This is a high-impact role for a skilled project leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong track record in renewable energy infrastructure delivery. Based in Beijing, this role offers the opportunity to lead complex, large-scale projects that are shaping the future of clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.

• Develop and manage project schedules, risk assessments, and resource allocation plans.

• Ensure engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams are aligned on project objectives and deliverables.

Stakeholder & Contract Management

• Serve as the key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

• Manage contract negotiations, compliance, and performance monitoring for subcontractors and suppliers.

• Oversee HSE compliance, ensuring all project activities meet international safety and environmental standards.

Technical Oversight & Problem Solving

• Provide technical leadership, ensuring adherence to grid codes, design standards, and performance requirements.

• Identify and resolve project challenges by working closely with engineering, procurement, and site management teams.

• Implement best practices for project monitoring and quality assurance.

Budget & Cost Control

• Manage financial forecasting, cost control, and procurement efficiency to optimize project profitability.

• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in solar PV and BESS projects.

• Strong knowledge of EPC project execution, grid interconnection, and commissioning processes.

• Ability to manage multi-national teams and cross-border projects in fast-paced environments.

• Expertise in contract negotiation, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Fluent in Mandarin and English; additional language skills are an advantage.

• A results-driven, problem-solving mindset with strong leadership and communication skills.
