Summary: 

A leading international engineering firm is engaged to provide Owner Engineering Services in support of project management, design review, and site supervision of a near shore wind farm in Vietnam.

As Project Manager you will be based in Ho Chi Minh or on site as required and be supported by the technical team. You will ideally have experience with offshore wind farm construction and will have a strong knowledge and understanding of civil and electrical balance of plant as well as integration of wind farms with national grids.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Provide ‘first point of contact’ role for the client 
  • overseeing daily work progress and monitoring weekly work progress 
  • scheduling works assessments 
  • reviewing all project documentation 
  • preparing monthly reports 
  • assessing deliveries schedule 
  • Track the Project timetable, program and milestones; Schedule analysis and optimization 
  • Facilitate and coordinate all communications between the EPC contractor
  • Coordinate and facilitate all Projects technical enquires between EPC Contractor
  • Design review, technical planning and engineering support 
  • Management of project construction, budgets and claims 
  • Construction procurement and site safety supervision 
  • Detailed construction planning 
  • Call for tenders for electrical and construction works 
  • Construction management 
  • EWS Construction Monitoring 
  • Coordination of construction work 
  • Supervision of foundation and road construction at the Project site 
  • Technical inspection of Civil and Electrical works
  • Review of Projects technical specifications, bid evaluation, negotiate with EPC contractor and suppliers, and design review; 
  • Assess the Project site
  • Construction site management and supervision and quality control; 
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams; 
  • Report on project internally and interface with the Client on all project related matters; 
  • Conduct project site visit, monitoring and supervision of any work on site as required; 
  • Perform evaluation and assessment of project related contractors; 
  • Leading the negotiations with project related contractors
  • Interface with contractors and grid operator to ensure grid compliance; 
  • Ensure that all technical aspects of the project meets the international best practice; 
  • Prepare all technical-related inputs required for the reporting protocol; 
  • Oversee all matters pertaining to HSE and report on all HSE matters; 
  • Prepare reports, updates and risk matrixes concerning project construction progress; 
  • Together with project team to ensure construction budget as well as OE budget;
