​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have partnered with a new, incredibly well financed, Battery Storage Developer, to identify a new, Project Delivery Director, to oversee delivery of its large-scale energy storage assets from planning submission phase through to commercial operation.

The business to date, have secured 2.5GW of Grid Connections, of a targeted 3GW within the United Kingdom for BESS Projects & have secured investment from two exceptional & well-known clean-energy funders.

The Project Director will be responsible for:

  • Managing all planning stakeholders from consultants to case officers, community and landowners, from planning submission through to commercial operation

  • Helping projects achieve FID by ensuring planning conditions achieved, securing land rights, and managing contractors/consultants as needed

  • Interface with development (engineers, consultants, colleagues) and delivery teams (EPC, ICP, Civils)

  • Construction phase contractor / EPC management including contract, quality and performance monitoring, liaising with our EPC Director

  • Reporting to board / investors

Knowledge & Understanding;

  • Large-scale HV renewables / infrastructure project development

  • Planning policy and process, at local and national level, across UK (Scotland and England)

  • Consultant (planning, studies, engineering) and Stakeholder (case officers, community, landowners) management

  • Construction phase contractor / EPC management

  • Land acquisition capability


  • Have 8+ years relevant industry experience

  • Come from a development, planning or construction background

  • Be highly self-motivated and organised and capable of working pro-actively alone

  • Focussed on net zero
